NOTICE OF JOINT CITY COUNCIL/PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATE #2 ON THE HOUSING ELEMENT SECOND WORKSHOP

Information on how to attend will be posted on this page soon.

The Housing Element of the General Plan is a State-mandated policy document that identifies Camarillo’s existing and future housing needs and establishes clear goals to inform future housing decisions. The City of Camarillo is in the process of updating its Housing Element for the upcoming 2021-2029 planning period. On August 27, 2020, the City of Camarillo held its first public workshop to introduce the process, and to provide an opportunity for the public to learn about the Housing Element Update and to have discussions regarding a preliminary inventory of existing residential sites that may have potential for residential land use.

A second joint City Council/Planning Commission meeting on the Housing Element is scheduled for Wednesday, April 14, at 5:00 pm. The purpose of this meeting is to present public feedback received at the second public workshop and present the draft goals and policies for feedback.
