NOTICE OF JOINT CITY COUNCIL/PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATE ON THE HOUSING ELEMENT FIRST WORKSHOP
The Housing Element of the General Plan is a State-mandated policy document that identifies Camarillo’s existing and future housing needs and establishes clear goals to inform future housing decisions. The City of Camarillo is in the process of updating its Housing Element for the upcoming 2021-2029 planning period. On August 27, 2020, the City of Camarillo held its first public workshop to introduce the process, and to provide an opportunity for the public to learn about the Housing Element Update and to have discussions regarding a preliminary inventory of existing residential sites that may have potential for residential land use.
On Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at 7:30 p.m., the Camarillo City Council and the Planning Commission will receive an update on the Housing Element First Workshop. For more information, please visit https://camarillohousingelement.com/ or contact the City of Camarillo Community Development Department at (805) 388-5360 or via email planning@cityofcamarillo.org.
If the meeting is held while the Ventura County Public Health Officer’s Stay Well at Home Order is still in place, the chambers will be closed to the public. Please check the Agenda on the City’s website for instructions on how you can participate in the meeting or contact the City Clerk’s Office at 805.388.5397, or by email at cityclerk@cityofcamarillo.org.
Camarillo City Hall is accessible to the disabled. Persons with disabilities can call the City Clerk at 805.388.5316 to request a specific accommodation; notification 48 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting.
